This two-day silent yoga retreat by Sri Ananthi Nature Cure and Yoga Ashram (SANCYA) is a unique and powerful program to experience deep silence, healing, and transformation through both traditional and spiritual forms of asana, pranayama practices, yoga Nidra, yogic cleansing processes, and meditation practices. At the same time, the aspirants will have the opportunity to explore the Pondicherry temple. Note: in this budget retreat, other than yoga, diet, spiritual activities, and theory classes, everything will have separate charges.

Basic yoga

This retreat is designed for first-time and basic yogis. It is the right class for you if you want to learn the fundamentals of yoga in a group where everyone is new. The teacher will give you some background on yoga while you are seated but come prepared to move. You will walk out feeling embodied, empowered, and energized.

Meditation in the yoga tradition is a systematic and logical approach to understanding, calming, and bringing some control to the mind and thoughts leading to the realization of who you truly are. In this course, you will learn meditation, breathing, and relaxation techniques of Raja yoga to calm and control thoughts, emotions, and outer sensations.

Through regular practice of meditation techniques, anyone can become attained to their innermost self and live an effective, balanced, and peaceful life regardless of outer circumstances. These extremely accessible classes are perfect for anyone looking to develop a practice of conscious, mindful movement with some support.

SANCYA will provide a fruit diet for every two hours until 8:00 a.m. In this timetable, the theory classes can be used for other activities such as visiting temples or for other naturopathy treatments.

Yoga siromani Maheshwaranandha
“Yoga Siromani” Sri. Maheshwaranandha is a versatile person who is naturally born to donate his entire life to the yoga for research and teaching purpose of the community. He trained nearly 1000 students.He got the BEST YOGA TEACHER AWARD – Tamilnadu Sports Yogasana Association in 2018.He was the Jury in the International Yoga Festival 2016 & 2017 by the Government of Pondicherry.He is organising many yoga travels, Vacations and yoga retreats. He successfully treated more than 500 peoples from ADDICTION by his special DE ADDICTION TECHNIQUE.
Dr.Sunder raman
Dr.Sunderaraman.BNYS is a young and talented Yoga and Naturopathy Doctor who finished his Doctorate in 2016 in JSS college of naturopathy and yogic science -Coimbatore. He is a gold medalist in three of his subject. He is an expert in teaching kriyas and asanas. He started doing his research in yoga. In 2017, he is the jury in the inter school competition yoga conducted by SANCYA. He treated nearly 200 patients who suffered from obesity, diabetes, hypertension, hemiplegia, and kidney failure only through yoga and naturopathy. Now he is serving in SANCYA as a medical officer.

 Retreat location

SANCYA is one of the most renowned and largest yoga and naturopathy hospital in Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu. the premier institute is located in 5 acres of lusty green, pollution free, with bamboo and herbs surrounding environment.

It is located in between Villupuram and Pondicherry. ashram will be 12 km away from Pondicherry bus stand and 24 km away from the Villupuram bus stand. SANCYA is situated in Pallithennal village, Sadayandikuppam road, in Thendral Nagar’s entrance.

Recommended Airports

Our guests have to come to the Chennai Airport. Transfers from Chennai International Airport is available for Rs. 4,000 per person. However, you can come to the ashram by:

Arrival by taxi

Through taxi, guests can come to the ashram with the traveling of 140 kilometers and duration of 3.30 hours. For taxi, they will charge 4000 rupees. Once guests reached in Pondicherry. Through Villupuram road, they can reach ashram in 12 kilometers from Pondicherry bus stand.

Arrival by bus

Through public bus also guests can come to the ashram for that they will charge 350 rupees. Once guests reached in Pondicherry. Through Villupuram road, they can reach ashram in 12 kilometers from Pondicherry bus stand.

Arrival by train

By train, guests have to check the train timetable. for a train, you have to pay 250 rupees (approximately). Guests have to get down in villain railway station, from there we can pick up you to the ashram. The ashram is just 2 kilometers from Villainur railway station and 13 kilometers away from Pondicherry railway station.

 Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 10 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
